Hey out there. welcome back it's your man gadgetfox. coming to you yet with another video. so i had some footage laying around. about the new purchase that i made. the alienware aurora r12 i've got to. tell you. this thing has been a beast for me so i. wanted to just do a quick. and simple unboxing and maybe a walk. around of the dell. alienware r12 so tell me what you think. i hope you enjoy. now all jokes aside up front this is. about. a budget video that i'm ever going to. produce for you guys. yes that's even a butter knife that i. used. as my unboxing knife any case this thing. is packaged. very very well and secure so you should. not worry that. the desktop might be damaged during the. delivery right here. i'm just going to do a little flexing. not trying to show off. but to do a side comparison of both my. playstation 5.

And the alienware aurora r1 r12. now you can see this thing is thick it's. taller. but the aesthetics speak very well to. the type of design. that i like to have on my desktop i'm. going to be very pleased with either. either how this is going to look up. above or down below. underneath my desk the black on black. is extremely nice. now i'm trying to show you from side to. side. front to back how it looks here's some. dimensional information. about the r12 now this thing being oddly. shaped being from. small to tall from front to back. at the front it's about 17 and a half. inches. and it grows to the rear at 19 inches. width left to right it's 9 inches. wide from front to rear it's. 17 inches wide now this thing the. current configuration that i have. is coming in around 41 pounds. the alienware r12 is just. a mortgage board of connectivity options.

This thing is fully loaded coming with. everything. options multidevice support and just. versatility. hits all the marks dell really put some. thought. to keep this machine as functional as. possible while still being. aesthetically pleasing i mean this swing. arm design. for the power supply alone is really. innovative. in a way that allows the r12 to be. small smaller than a regular atx. desktop and larger still than an itx. desktop but any case try and try they. did. having this 3090 in here with this. design. as hot as it gets it really needs a lot. of. airflow and though this thing looks. beautiful. i can really tell that it really. struggles to get. air in and out while still keeping this. phone factor. one thing that's kind of risky with. getting. a prebuild especially from dell is a. lot of their internals is. customized only for them and it's going.

To be difficult. to find replacement parts or repair. parts. for anything that may go down wrong. with the dell r12 in the future taking a. peek inside. i went ahead and got the 11th gen intel. core. i7 11 700 f. so that i can keep the heat low inside. the machine. and power consumption low because it's. rated at 65. watts 2.5 gigahertz to 4.9 gigahertz. dell provides the motherboard as a z490. chipset having four ddr4 slots. currently i have a 16 gigabyte. configuration. rated at 3200 megahertz xpm memory. this thing does have some expandability. having two. pcie 16 a mechanical and. eight electrical gen4 slots that's going. to be your first slot. and then your fourth slot and the two in. the middle are going to be pci. 4 slot 2 and 3. as far as expanding your. memory this thing only comes with one. m.2 card slot so you're pretty much.

limited with. just going with uh an expansion. with an ssd or hd it comes with your old. school style hard drive but i would just. chuck it. and replace it as quick as possible. i know the style of video is different. when what i. typically put out there but i just. wanted to put out something simple. and quick for you guys again as always i. really appreciate you guys subscribing. and clicking like to this video and. thank you again. always for coming back and watching. something from your man. gadget fox
