Protection Systems attempt to destroy. the incoming guided munition before it. has a chance to impact the vehicle this. infrared flare acts in the same way a. flare wood in an aircraft shooting out. around the vehicle as a way to confuse. the guidance system with multiple heat. signatures at once its six road wheels.
